Dorothy Carskadon (LCSW)

Dorothy Carskadon (LCSW) is a licensed clinical social worker with active licenses in Illinois, Texas, and Arizona. At the time of the Fort Hood shooting on November 5, 2009, she was serving with the Department of Veterans Affairs and was a Reservist. Her distinguished federal service began in 1989 as an active duty Lieutenant, during which she experienced significant historical events, including the fall of the Berlin Wall and Desert Storm.

Following a 32-year career in federal service, Dorothy retired to Arizona, where she now practices as an online counselor and author. Her retirement is shared with her supportive wife and their four dogs and three cats, who provide both companionship and inspiration. Dorothy’s wife plays a vital role in her writing journey, offering steadfast support for her creative pursuits.
